Puerto Vallarta’s Downtown now a Cultural Heritage Site

Downtown Puerto Vallarta Named Cultural Heritage Site
Vallarta Daily News - Downtown Puerto Vallarta Named Cultural Heritage Site

When you think of Puerto Vallarta, you probably call to mind its picturesque central plaza, cobblestone streets, traditionally colonial architecture, gorgeous churches, and the many shops, art galleries, and cafes that line its streets and boardwalk.

In a Nutshell: In the midst of Puerto Vallarta’s centennial celebration, the state of Jalisco, Mexico has declared PV’s downtown historic center district a “Cultural Heritage Site”.

You probably also remember that warm, sunny afternoon you spent at that oh-so-authentic tapas café on the boardwalk, watching the crowds walk by and washing down all those tacos and chips with that bucket of beeritas that haunted you later that night…..ah, good times, yes?

Well, now the site of some of your fondest memories is also a Cultural Heritage site, thanks to a proclamation by the state of Jalisco.

Congrats, downtown PV! No one deserves it more than you!
