SE Spa at Grand Velas Named Among the World's Most Luxurious in Forbes Travel Guide SE Spa at Grand Velas Named Among the World's Most Luxurious in Forbes Travel Guide

I’m not surprised to hear this news about SE Spa at AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas Resorts in Mexico.  And, shh!!, the Spa at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit is one of my personal favorites.

In a Nutshell: SE Spa at Grand Velas Resorts in Riviera Maya and Riviera Nayarit are among only 30 spas to be named “World’s Most Luxurious” by Forbes Travel Guide. The winners are evaluated on about 900 standards by incognito inspectors at Forbes.

There were a number of standards that separated these top performers including the level of luxurious amenities, conveniences for guests, the use of sound, scent and other elements, and the atmosphere in the treatment rooms.

The Spa at Check PricesGrand Velas Riviera Maya was inspired by the jungle and natural water pools of the Yucatan Peninsula. The Architects preserved the stone, plants and streams specific to the natural landscape and incorporated them into the two-level 89,000+ square-foot spa.  There are two separate 40,000 square-foot Water Lounges with one for men and one for women. They feature a Clay Room, Ice Room, Experience Showers and an infinity pool with massaging faucets throughout carved-stone chaises with jets set just underneath the surface of the water on which guests recline. Signature treatments reflect the Mayan culture and utilize coffee, cocoa, corncobs, vanilla, organic mud and local honey.
