They’re doing what?!? I yelled, spilling my free vodka tonic onto the green felt as I threw the last of my chips down on a 10-10 split….I could almost taste the margarita waiting for me on the beach as I raced to the airport……

In a Nutshell: In December 2018 Denver-based Frontier Airlines will become the first U.S.-based airline to offer nonstop service from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas to the Mexican resort communities of Cancun and Cabo San Lucas. Additionally Frontier is adding a seasonal non-stop flight from Raleigh-Durham to Cancun for the upcoming winter season.

Frontier Airlines announced the new flights as part of the company’s international expansion that also includes Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

According to a highly-placed ‘anonymous source’ (okay it was their spokesperson) Frontier says the service to Cancun will be on Mondays and Fridays and to Cabo San Lucas on Saturdays, and that they will serve the new routes from Raleigh-Durham with an Airbus 320 starting in November, however, specific start dates have not been released.

Looks like Frontier is bringing their A-game to the season – it will be interesting to see how their competition responds.
