Barcelo

Barcelo is certainly growing!  They just put a $250M investment into one of the largest resort complexes in Riviera Maya.

In a nutshell: Opening day for Barcelo Maya Riviera is December 15 and this newly built adults-only is part of the Barcelo Maya Grand Resort compound.   With this addition, there will be a total of six resorts at this complex.

The location and the size of Barcelo Maya Riviera sure make it a stand-out for Riviera Maya.  All (850) suites have hot tubs on the terrace and half of these suites have ocean views. The suites are elegant and spacious and the Premium Level Ocean Front Suite is a stunner with a Super King bed, a hot tub in the room and on the terrace, too.

This luxe resort offers five restaurants including a “Tacoyaki” bar at their Mexican establishment and French, Italian and Japanese make an appearance, too. Buffet for the 5th. Four bars, U-spa, a fitness center, and four pools round out the other amenities here.

The Wow Factor is Barcelo Maya Arena, the huge Convention Center, which holds over 7000 people making it the largest in Riviera Maya for galas, events, and conventions.

If guests choose to explore outside of their adults-only oasis at Barcelo Maya Riviera they’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a total of 22 dining options, pool hopping (10 pools), three water parks, a bowling alley, and Ventura Fly & Ride Park.
