Visitors to the Puerto Vallarta/Riviera Nayarit area of Mexico in the middle of October are in for a treat!
If you’re into star-studded events (Michelin Stars, that is, along with Repsol Suns – the Michelin equivalent in Spain and Portugal), then this is one not to be missed.
From October 14th to the 18th, the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta will be the official site host for the 10th annual Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica, a gourmet cuisine festival and competition featuring a slew (a slew in this case being 48!) of international chefs from Michelin- and Repsol-awarded establishments, including some featured in the 50th edition of “Best Latin America”.
Coinciding with Puerto Vallarta’s Centennial and the tenth anniversary of Riviera Nayarit, there’s more excitement than usual, and many festivities and special events are planned…….for example guests will have the opportunity to participate in show-cookings, premium tastings, gourmet workshops, an ‘expo zone’, panels with experts, pairing dinners, and a fun-sounding event called ‘gastronomikids’.
“The event will be full of surprises and unique moments for all those who love gastronomy,” according to Consuelo Elipe and Carlos Elizondo, creators of the event.
There are also plans to have vintners, sommeliers, mixologists, and ambassadors from the wine and spirits industry on hand with the latest in news and products.
Sounds like a fab party to me, raise your hand if you want to car-pool!
