The New Secrets St. Martin Gets a Facelift

Secrets St. Martin
Secrets Resorts

Latest Update as of February 2024:
Secrets St. Martin didn’t get much time to celebrate being ‘new’ as it officially opened in March 2020 and closed several weeks later due to covid, and now will be closed….again…while it gets a much-needed makeover.

In a nutshell: Secrets St. Martin Resort & Spa will temporarily suspend operations while it undergoes an “extensive enhancement” project later this year that will elevate the adults-only luxury property’s amenities, common spaces and guestrooms. The project is expected to begin this May (2024) with an anticipated completion by the end of the year. Full details and renovation updates will be shared as they become available.

Aany impacted reservations will have the option of being relocated to an Inclusive Collection, part of World of Hyatt, resort in Cancun, Mexico, Costa Rica, or Jamaica.

First, a little history for you – this new Secrets Resort was originally the Riu Palace Resort, which was damaged by category 5 Hurricane Irma back in September 2017.  It was completely transformed before opening as a Secrets Resort in March 2020.

Something to inspire you for when you’re ready to travel again …
