There are a staggering 10 different room types available at the Hotel Mousai Cancun, but all are generously spacious and seriously elegant in their simple-yet-luxurious décor and amenities, and all feature complimentary Wi-Fi. The smallest (Mousai Suite Queen) offers nearly 950 square feet of space (bigger than my first studio apartment!), a private terrace, jacuzzi plunge pool, mood lighting and iPad-controlled music dock, and at the other end of spectrum is the Ultra Two Bedroom Master Suite, with more than 2,100 square feet of luxury along with complimentary Moet champagne, butler service, 24-hour gourmet room service and exclusive dining experiences.
Other room types slot somewhere in between, all promising an exquisite level of luxury and exclusive benefits. As an adults-only resort, this Hotel Mousai Cancun welcomes all singles but is definitely designed for couples. And there are upgrade options for lovebirds to enjoy, regardless of whichever room type you book. The ‘Love Affair’ package is typically just a few dollars more expensive, and includes a 15% discount on Spa treatments (squee!), chocolate covered strawberries, and a courtesy bottle of wine. Perfect if you’re celebrating an anniversary!
Dining and Drinks
There’s an emphasis on fine dining and gourmet cuisine at this resort, but don’t worry if you prefer a greasy hamburger – there’s always this option too! Promoted as the “best Italian restaurant in Cancun”, Noi is open daily for dinner, serving the highest quality pizza, pasta and risotto in a bright and cheery setting. La Casona Steak House is another dinner option for the carnivores, and for classic Mexican cuisine, you’ll want to head to Zama, where there’s a focus on fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Other options include Chinese meals at DAO and Japanese at Hiroshi.
For drinks, The Rooftop is the place to be. Also open for lunch, this bar is located on the hotel’s top floor, offering stunning views and featuring the aforementioned rooftop pool. It’s the perfect place to top up the tan and enjoy a handcrafted cocktail. Legends is the resort’s sports bar, where you can catch the latest live action and Bite Bar is where you go for that hamburger.
Wellness Zone
When you’re gorging on all you can eat food and drinks, it’s important to keep in shape. Hotel Mousai Cancun offers an impressively equipped gym with all the Technogym equipment you could possibly need. And with an ocean view to keep you company, you’ll have worked off last night’s steak and whisky in no time.
Conclusion
Although an internet search reveals some teething problems at this newly opened resort, we are confident that in no time at all, Hotel Mousai Cancun will join the ranks of the region’s best all-inclusive resorts.
