Yes, we LOVE all-inclusive resort makeovers and there have been some amazing re-do’s this year in Mexico and the Caribbean.  This time it’s another Riu re-do on one of Jamaica’s most beautiful beaches.

In a Nutshell: Check PricesRiu Palace Tropical Bay in Negril closed in August for a multi-million dollar makeover and is reopening on October 20th.  A complete makeover as this also included the bars, restaurants, a new cafe and ice-cream parlour, gym, three pools and the children’s area.

New bedrooms were added as well as a redo of all other rooms bringing the total number of rooms to 452. The bathrooms were also renovated and they replaced tubs with large walk-in showers.  The  main building was also transformed in both its interior design and its culinary offering. The main restaurant, along with all of the other dining facilities, was also renovated and redesigned.

To convey tranquility in the rooms, lobby and dining areas they went with pale tones and turquoise blue.  To further your feeling of tranquility you can stop over at Renova, their wellness center.

And, wait for it……they created RiuLand, a kiddies club in the children’s area with their own (bigger) swimming pool and a playground full of activities.
