Location, location, location –  Something new is coming to Riviera Maya’s Puerto Morelos!

In a nutshell: The Fives Oceanfront, the new and third resort for “The Fives” brand, opens on July 25th.  This resort is only 15-minutes from Cancun airport.

We could tell you that $25m was invested in this 94-room property or about the amenities, but let’s get to what most of you want to know.

What’s unique about The Fives Oceanfront compared to other resorts?

One of the most unique features of this resort is the first-ever RoMarly Beach House by Rohan Marley, son of reggae icon Bob Marley. This is sure to be a draw for this resort between the music selection, beach setting, culinary and mixology options, and the coastal vibe.   RoMarley will also be at The Fives Hotels & Residences.

What will The Fives do for guest safety during COVID-19?

The Fives Initiatives program is set up and ready to go. Here are the highlights of The Fives Initiatives for safety.

  1. Exceptional and Safe Dining Options:
    All restaurants offer full take away options and room service is available.
    Cooking stations replace the buffet.
    The U-Chef Box allows you to prepare your own meals (kitchens in 1-, 2-, and 3-bedrooms suites)
  2. Getting into the property:
    Staff will be screened daily and wear face masks/PPE in all areas.
    Guests will be screened upon arrival.
  3. Things getting into the property:
    New delivery and entry protocols i.e. luggage/personal items will be sanitized and all hotel supplies will receive special processing and sanitized.
  4. Social Distancing Once On Property:
    New safe distancing protocols by beach, pools, lounge chairs, restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, kids play areas.:
  5. Cleaning Everything:
    New Standard of Operating procedures for cleaning and sanitizing all guest and staff areas.

What else is in the area?

Also notable is the proximity to the Mesoamerican Reef System, about 300 yards off-shore, for snorkeling, scuba diving (coral reef and protected mangroves), and swimming.  Punta Esmeralda for cenotes, Mayan ruins, golf, and Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve are some other places to explore while you’re at The Fives.
