Playa Opens Hilton and Hyatt
Hyatt

Good news for the Dominican Republic.

They have 3 new resorts! And, they’re on target with their upcoming opening dates……kind of!

In a nutshell: Playa Resorts is getting ready to open the Hilton La Romana (formerly a Dreams Resort) and Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana.  Loyal guests of both Hilton and Hyatt will be chomping at the bit to be among the first to experience these all-inclusive options.

Hilton La Romana
The adult only side of the Check PricesHilton La Romana Resort, with 356 rooms, opened on August 10th and the Family side of the resort (412 rooms) is due to open on December 1st.

45-minutes from Punta Cana, this resort is located in the fishing village of Bayahibe.  An eco-friendly beach with turquoise views and new Bali beds at the pool.  A golfer’s paradise, too, with four golf courses in the area.  There’s also an adults-only disco (if that’s your thing) with Kids and Teens Clubs.   They’ve already been nominated for Best All Inclusive resort for Adults/Couples in the Caribbean by the Travvy Awards.   You can even stop at a fresh fruit cart on your way to the beach.

If you like off-property tours you may want to connect with the hotel’s concierge about the Monkeyland Tour in Punta Cana

This brand new Hyatt complex is going to be a stunner at the privately gated area of Cap Cana and may be the ‘model’ for future all-inclusive resorts for the Hyatt brand.  They’re taking reservations for stays beginning with November 1.

This U-shaped resort is on 40 acres of Juanillo Beach and is a new build for Hyatt’s all-inclusive line-up. There are 375 junior suites for adults-only Zilara and 375 suites for family friendly Ziva.

Shared amenities include themed pool parties, gourmet cooking lessons, dance lessons, a 24-hour fitness center (14,000 square feet) with fitness and spinning rooms, state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment, Stott Pilates, and yes, beach side yoga!

Try the water park, the cenote-inspired Zen Spa, and a Hindu restaurant inspired by the Venice Simplon Orient Express, coffee lounge, French-Polynesian Fusion, and more.
