Grupo Xcaret is investing in Mexico as part of their massive growth plan.
Any more details?
Yes…. A new all-inclusive in Cancun with an estimated cost of $85M (USD) is due to open in 2020. It’s already been named – La Casa de la Playa (The Beach House) and has 63 wellness suites and bespoke experiences. The wow factor (there are actually a few, but let them be a surprise!) is the swimming lane – you’ll feel like you’re one with the ocean. And, if you’re a music enthusiast, you’ll know the name Alondra de la Parra – she’s a Mexican American conductor and currently the Music Director for the Queensland Symphony Orchestra – and the hotel’s ambassador.
The other hotel, Check PricesHotel Xcaret Arte, is also an ‘all-fun inclusive’ with plans to open in 2020. Guests will also get to visit all the parks for free. Think about that – staying at an Xcaret hotel and getting off-property adventures included – no dinero, no problem. It’s a massive saving.
What about the theme park?
This will be the eighth park for Xcaret in Yucatan. That’s all we know for now! However, it was previously hinted (wink, wink) that the colonial city of Valladolid may be the area for the park (and maybe a hotel) – this area is known for its beautiful cenotes. By the way, their Xichén Tour, includes a visit to Chichen Itza and the town of Valladolid, in Yucatan.
