Hilton by Playa opens The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen

Another new adults-only all-inclusive resort to open in the Playa del Carmen area – this time it’s a Hilton.

In a nutshell: Playa just announced the New Boutique All-Inclusive Hilton Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen, formerly Live Aqua Playa del Carmen, to open in May as part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

A little background information is that Playa first entered into a strategic alliance with Hilton back in 2018 and now operates a number of all-inclusive resorts including Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Jamaica, Hilton La Romana all-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic and Hilton Playa del Carmen in Mexico.

The new adults-only Hilton Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen will be the second Playa managed Hilton all-inclusive property in Playa del Carmen – this is good news as guests of both resorts will now have expanded offerings between the two sister properties.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen to Tapestry Collection and to our growing portfolio of Hilton’s all-inclusive resorts,” said Jenna Hackett, global brand head, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

We’re excited about this resort being part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton because in addition to the energetic personality of these resorts, they also encourage guests to explore the destination.  After the year we’ve had it will soon be time to explore more and get back to fun and relaxing activities in Playa del Carmen, for example.

  • 60 guestrooms in a 4-story building
  • Restaurant, Sushi Bar
  • Rooftop pool and bar
  • Spa and fitness center
  • Hilton Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen is just minutes away from the beach on Playa del Carmen’s Fifth Avenue
    • Close to shopping and restaurants if you want to go off-property

You likely know other all-inclusive resorts under the Playa umbrella though including Check PricesHyatt Zilara Cancun, Panama Jack Resorts Cancun, and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana to name a few.
